Involvement in the HSA keeps you in touch with what’s happening in your child’s school. We want to welcome our two new principals: Ms. Jennifer Cenatiempo (BG) and Mrs. Merisa Rosa (CO). Our principals, along with staff members, attend the HSA meetings to keep parents and guardians informed of current and upcoming school activities, events and fundraisers, and other matters pertinent to your child’s education.
Join us!
Opportunities are endless, and your help is very much needed for the many fundraising events. Just an hour a month will benefit your child. Decades of research show that when parents are involved, students have higher grades, better attendance, increased motivation and self-esteem. Help out during the day at our school store or at various arts and crafts projects. Or, there are evening events, like pajama night and BINGO night. It can even be spontaneous when your schedule allows.
What does the HSA raise money for?
All money raised by the HSA, through dues and fundraisers, is used to enhance the students' experiences. Our association has helped upgrade audio and video equipment, supports reading incentive programs, and contributes to the beautification of the school grounds with signage, flowers and benches. We organize and pay for several enrichment programs throughout the year. This year, CO will have a Math Magical Show, a science Halloween program, and a planetarium come into the All-Purpose Room in January. We also supply arts and crafts projects for the children, as well as special treats for them during the holidays. We thank our schools staff with special breakfasts throughout the year, and help teachers purchase educational and art supplies for their classrooms. These are just some of the many benefits realized from the fundraising efforts.
How do you get started?
Fill out the membership form, and send it in, along with the $7.00 fee, with your child to school. Please write HSA membership on the envelope, your child’s name and teacher.

Come to the meetings. They are once a month generally on Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm. Meetings alternate between the Charles Olbon and Beatrice Gilmore Schools. The school hosting the meeting will begin at 6:30, and the other school will begin around 7:00.

It is at the meetings where you sign up for committees, and find out about upcoming events and school happenings.

Just cannot make the meeting? Check out this website to see the list of upcoming events and contact information for commitee chairpersons.
